"The Dancer"

"The Dancer" 48x36 oil on canvas

Sepia tones with a some cadmium oranges and reds and a bit of Naples yellow. I usually paint with a full palette but once in awhile it is a challenge to limit myself. I use Lucas and Winsor & Newton paints primarily. I used a turpentine wash and sloshed a lot of paint before I focused on her face. This painting went together very quickly for a canvas of this size,(approx. 3-4 hours) Others can take weeks. I guess I was just feeling the flow that day.

"Bubble Space"

"Bubble Space" 36x48 oil on canvas

A bit on the erotic side... I am not sure why, but I feel it from her, maybe it is in her expression. Sometimes don't you just feel like this? Like you are floating in space in a sea of bubbles? I do, it is pleasurable and yet scary, magical and yet unsure, all at the same time...a quandary.

This painting hangs in my dear friends Lori and Bretts house who live in DC.

"Casino"

"Casino" 36x48 oil on canvas

Calm yet collected it how I think of the woman seated in this piece. She can be picked up or she can refuse. You just never know.
